Most visitors use rental cars, rideshare/taxis or local shuttle services; the island is very bikeable with extensive bike lanes and rental shops nearby. Limited fixed-route public transit exists (local trolley/shuttle services seasonally). For short trips (Coligny, Shelter Cove, Palmetto Dunes) biking or short car rides are fastest; for longer trips (Savannah, Bluffton) use car or airport shuttle.
